Our History:
The Youth Crisis Center, Inc. (YCC) is a private, not-for-profit agency in Casper Wyoming which has provided emergency shelter and crisis intervention to children and families since 1982. YCC has also provided group home services to adolescents from 10-18 years of age since 1984.
Thanks to the generosity of the Casper community, the Youth Crisis Center, Inc. successfully completed their Capital Campaign and moved into their newly constructed building in 2013. YCC now provides all services out of the new building.
Our Philosophy:
YCC programs support family reunification for all youth and families. We strive to provide safety, trauma-informed care, support meetings, safety planning, referrals, and individualized services that assist youth and their families to achieve success.
YCC programs, staff, volunteers, and board promotes:

The self-determination of persons served
The cultural traditions of the youth and family
The values and quality of life issues of youth served
Informed choice decisions of youth and families served
Fairness and equal treatment of each person served

Our Programs:
YCC has developed the following programs to provide support to youth and families in the Casper area. Each program offers individualized and trauma-informed care to better support and meet the needs of the youth and their families. Programs include:
Crisis Shelter: Short-term, voluntary placement for children 0-17
Purpose: to provide safety and support when the child cannot stay at home
Group Home: Long or short-term, court-ordered placement for youth 12-17
Purpose: to teach youth responsible living and life skills, enabling them to be successful in
meeting individual goals and supporting reunification or independent living.
