Our Impact

Providing support and safety to children and youth is our greatest achievement each day. Our team of youth care workers, case managers, and clinical, and supervising teams use their training and experience to meet the individual needs of each youth and child served.

Each child has his/her reason for their stay at YCC. Whether they need safety and prevention from abuse, neglect, or running away, or whether they need safety and support from conflict or behavior challenges, our incredible team is available to assist the child and family to achieve success.

The chart below shows the top reasons youth came to YCC.

Top Reasons for Stay

2022 - 2023 Fiscal Year

Building additional supports while the youth and children are in our care is of the highest priority. We do this by holding family and case plan meetings, attending court and other meetings, building safety plans and family plans, providing counseling services, and referrals to additional community supports. We know families who have many people they can access for support, the more likely they are to be successful.

2022/2023 Year

When preparing to discharge youth from our programs, the YCC team uses their training and experience to assist with successful transitions. Our priority and desire is for all youth to leave our programs to a lower level of care such as home, foster home, other family home, or living independently. Our family and case plan meetings support the youth and family as they work through reintegration and transition. When a lower level of care is not possible and more support is needed we strive to partner with local agencies and supports to find the best placement option available.
